Hello, I’m Angela. Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan.
At The Cognitive Studio, therapy is designed to be a space where you can slow down, think clearly, and reconnect with your own strengths.
I have experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, trauma, self-doubt, and the mental demands of high-performance environments. My approach is practical, collaborative, and rooted in helping people understand how their thoughts, emotions, and nervous system responses shape their daily lives.
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, understood, and supported. My goal is to create an environment where clients can explore challenges openly while developing the tools needed for growth, resilience, and confidence.
My Approach
Therapy with me focuses on undestanding patterns and how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. Learning how to shift those patterns in ways that feel empowering and sustainable.
I integrate neuroscience-informed strategies and practical mental skills that help clients better understand how their brain and body respond to stress, pressure, and change.
Mental Performance
In addition to my clinical work, I bring a unique perspective through my background as a former college athlete and coach. Competing at a high level has taught me firsthand how powerful mindset, confidence, and emotional regulation are in performance environments.
Because of this experience, I enjoy working with athletes, competitors, and high performers who want to strengthen their mental game. Whether it’s managing pressure, overcoming performance anxiety, rebuilding confidence after setbacks, or improving focus, mental performance skills can make a significant difference in sports and in life.
